Moore was kidnapped in May 2007 along with his four bodyguards by armed people in police uniforms. He was released Wednesday. Three of his bodyguards were killed, and the fourth is believed dead.

Moore is expected to spend about a week at the Royal Air Force base Brize Norton in Oxfordshire where he arrived Friday. He will undergo a medical examination.

British Foreign Secretary David Miliband earlier said no ransom had been paid for the release, adding that the British government makes "no substantial concessions to hostage takers."
