The Dutch trainer has been linked with Juventus since Russia failed to make the 2010 World Cup, but speculation grew on Friday that he may take over at crisis-hit Liverpool, whose manager Rafa Benitez is under intense pressure following a string of catastrophic results.

"I have to speak to the federation president before making any decision on my future, but it is true that I would like to coach in England again," former Chelsea boss Hiddink said.

"After all the support I"ve received from Roman Abramovich I owe it to them to discuss anything with them first."

Despite his failure to take Russia to the World Cup, Hiddink has been offered a contract with Russia until Euro 2012, after his current deal runs out this summer.
