NASA has given the final go-ahead for the launch of the U.S. space shuttle Discovery to the International Space Station (ISS) scheduled for April 5, NASA said on its website on Saturday.

"Hiddink was planning to fly to Moscow today and meet with the new president of the Russian Football Union later this week," RFU general director Alexei Sorokin told RIA Novosti.

He also said Hiddink would discuss his plans for the future, adding that it was not yet clear if the 63-year-old Dutch trainer had decided to continue working with the Russian national team.

Former Zenit St. Petersburg president Sergei Fursenko is the clear favorite to take over as head of the RFU. Russian media reports suggest that Fursenko is unwilling to continue paying Hiddink wages in excess of $5 million a year, especially in light of Hiddink"s failure to guide Russia to the 2010 World Cup.
