MOSCOW, December 9 (RIA Novosti) - The operator of the Gazprom-led Shtokman gas condensate project in the Russian section of the Barents Sea asked on Tuesday for tax exemptions as a precondition for investing in the development of shelf deposits.
Tatneft, one of Russia"s top 10 crude producers, said on Tuesday its U.S. GAAP net profit increased 55%, year-on-year, in January-September 2009 to 47.15 billion rubles ($1.6 billion).
Tour operators and air lines should resolve the situation which has arisen from the cancellation of flights after an ash cloud spread over Europe from a volcano eruption in Iceland, the Russian Federal Tourism Agency said.
