MOSCOW, November 5 (RIA Novosti) - Rubin...

Two weeks after their shock 2-1 win over the European champions in Spain, Rubin held Barcelona to a 0-0 draw in Kazan on Wednesday evening. The Russian champions are now second in Group F, one point behind Inter Milan and above Barcelona on goal difference.

"It"s extremely pleasing that thanks to these two games, the whole world knows Rubin," Kurban Berdyev said. "I am certain that this will help the development of the whole of Russian football."

"I"m really happy," the Turkmenistan-born trainer told journalists. "I was pleased with the team"s defensive and attacking performance."

Rubin are one point ahead of second-placed Spartak Moscow at the top of the Russian Premier League. They face fifth-placed CSKA Moscow, who drew 3-3 at Old Trafford with Manchester United on Tuesday, in the Russian capital on Sunday as they try to become the first club from outside Moscow or St Petersburg to retain the title.
