The Ukrainian news site said that new CSKA coach Leonid Slutsky, who took over from Juande Ramos earlier this week, had made Voronin, 30, his first target.
Ukrainian international Voronin signed for Liverpool in 2007 from German side Bayer Leverkusen. However, he failed to win a place in the first team and was loaned out to Hertha Berlin. He returned to Anfield at the beginning of this season, but has spent much of his time on the substitutes" bench.
CSKA Moscow are fifth in the Russian Premier League, ten points behind leaders Rubin Kazan with four games of the season to play. There are four points off third place and a 2010/11 Champions League spot.
